  • An ancient breed from Tunisia, Africa

  • On the Conservatory List

  • Babies are born with reddish wool and turn cream as they age while head and legs remain red.

  • Raised for meat and wool production

 

Our Tunis sheep herd originated in Ohio and were flown to Alaska.  In 2018, we moved the herd to its present location.  We are a registered USDA Import/Export farm.

Great Pyrenees, LGD, protects and helps care for the lambs.

Tunis wool is cream colored and has lots of crimp in it making it perfect for spinning.
All sheep are genetically screened for Scrapie. The herd is in the USDA Import/ Export level of the program.
